Commitment to Ethical Publishing

The e-Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (eJMPS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, and free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. All authors should have made substantial contributions to the work and approve the final version before submission. Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest and acknowledge all sources of funding.

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants must comply with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and must have received approval from an appropriate Institutional Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board. Informed consent must be obtained from participants whenever required. Studies involving animals must comply with relevant institutional and national guidelines for animal welfare and ethical treatment.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially. They should provide constructive feedback, disclose any conflicts of interest, and decline review assignments when they are unable to provide an unbiased assessment.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on scientific merit, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process and maintain confidentiality throughout the editorial process.

Plagiarism and Misconduct

All submissions are screened for plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, citation manipulation, or unethical research practices. Suspected misconduct will be investigated following COPE guidelines.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research, review, or editorial decision-making process.

Corrections and Retractions

When significant errors, ethical concerns, or misconduct are identified, the journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as appropriate to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Ethical Oversight

The journal reserves the right to request ethical approval documents, informed consent forms, raw data, or other supporting materials whenever necessary to verify compliance with ethical standards.
