The e-Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (eJMPS) is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity in the publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the conduct, review, interpretation, or publication of research.

Conflict of Interest for Authors

Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial relationships that may influence the research or its interpretation. These may include employment, consultancies, honoraria, stock ownership, patents, grants, funding support, personal relationships, academic competition, or institutional affiliations. A conflict of interest statement must be included in every submitted manuscript.

Conflict of Interest for Reviewers

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality. Reviewers should decline invitations to review manuscripts if they have personal, professional, financial, or collaborative relationships with the authors or institutions involved in the research.

Conflict of Interest for Editors

Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from personal relationships, collaborations, financial interests, institutional affiliations, or competitive considerations. Such manuscripts will be assigned to another qualified editor.

Financial Conflicts of Interest

Financial conflicts may include research grants, sponsorships, employment, consultancy fees, stock ownership, patents, royalties, paid expert testimony, or any financial benefit that could influence professional judgment.

Non-Financial Conflicts of Interest

Non-financial conflicts may include personal relationships, academic rivalry, intellectual beliefs, political or professional affiliations, institutional associations, or other circumstances that may affect objectivity.

Disclosure Requirements

All conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of manuscript submission, peer review, or editorial handling. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, or article retraction.

Management of Conflicts

The journal will assess disclosed conflicts of interest and take appropriate measures to ensure a fair and unbiased review and publication process. Disclosure of a conflict does not automatically prevent publication but allows informed editorial decisions.

No Conflict of Interest Statement

If no conflicts exist, authors should include the following statement:

“The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper.”
